Our mission is to make this experience accessible to as many students as possible. The cost of participation, travel, and other expenses is creating a barrier for families and preventing students from taking advantage of this transformative opportunity. With the support of the Foundation, we hope to help reduce these costs for students so that participation is based on interest and dedication, not a family's ability to pay.
What is Youth & Government
Youth & Government (YAG) is a dynamic, hands-on civics program that gives high school students an opportunity to experience the democratic process by taking on real-world roles — like legislators, attorneys, lobbyists, and journalists. Students research current issues, write bills or legal arguments, and participate in a statewide model government experience. It's more than a simulation — it's a launchpad for leadership, critical thinking, and civic engagement.
